What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Dental Hygienist | Clinical Preventative Specialist position at Regis Court Dental Associates?
We Are Looking for a Hygienist Who Loves Their Craft and Their Patients.
At our general dental practice in Eau Claire, WI, we believe that exceptional preventative care is the foundation of everything we do. We are a busy, growing, and close-knit team of dental professionals who take our work seriously and have a lot of fun doing it. As our practice expands and we welcome new providers to our team, we are looking for a talented Licensed Dental Hygienist to join us as a clinical leader and patient advocate.
If you are a Dental Hygienist who values clinical autonomy, enjoys building long-term relationships with patients, and wants to work in an environment where your expertise is genuinely trusted and your well-being is supported — we want to hear from you.
Why You Will Love Working Here
We know that great hygienists are in high demand, and we believe in taking care of the people who take care of our patients. Here is what we bring to the table:
- Competitive Pay: Based on experience, with regular performance reviews
- Bonus Potential: Opportunities to earn bonuses based on practice growth and production — when we win, we all win
- Dental Benefits: Complimentary dental care for you and your immediate family — because we practice what we preach
- Paid Time Off: Generous Paid Time Off Benefits (work hard, play hard)
- Retirement Plan: Simple IRA with employer match to help you build your future
- Professional Development: CE opportunities and license renewal reimbursement to keep your skills sharp and your career growing
- Uniform Allowance: Uniforms provided, so you always look the part
- A Team That Has Your Back: A supportive and appreciative doctor team, a culture built on mutual respect and trust, and colleagues who genuinely enjoy coming to work
What You Will Do
As our Dental Hygienist, you are our chief preventative provider. You will do far more than clean teeth — you will educate, motivate, and partner with our doctors to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. No two days look exactly the same, but your core responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional care through thorough prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance with a gentle and confident touch
- Acting as a co-diagnostician by conducting comprehensive oral cancer screenings, assessing periodontal health, capturing high-quality digital X-rays, and identifying areas of concern for the doctor's review
- Educating and motivating patients with the knowledge and tools they need to improve their home care and feel confident in their treatment decisions
- Scheduling appropriate re-care appointments to keep patients on track with their preventative care
- Maintaining clinical excellence by adhering to the highest standards of infection control, sterilization, and OSHA/HIPAA compliance
- Supporting the team wherever needed — because great teams are flexible and look out for one another
Who You Are
You do not need to check every box, but the best fit for this role will bring most of the following:
- Credentials: A current Wisconsin Registered/Licensed Dental Hygienist license and CPR certification are required
- Anesthesia Certification: Certification to administer local anesthesia is preferred, but not required
- Experience: Both experienced hygienists and motivated new graduates are welcome to apply; we are committed to supporting the right candidate who brings the right attitude
- Communication: You can explain complex clinical concepts in a way that patients easily understand — and leave the chair feeling informed and cared for, not anxious
- Attention to Detail: You are thorough in your clinical execution and meticulous in your patient charting
- Team Spirit: You show up every day with enthusiasm, humor, and a genuine commitment to your colleagues and your patients
- Tech Comfort: Experience with digital X-rays and dental practice management software (Eaglesoft) is a plus — but we can work with the right person
