The Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at Regis College invites applications for an Adjunct Professor position for the Fall 2026 semester. Located on a picturesque campus in Weston, Massachusetts, Regis College is a CSJ values-centered institution known for its commitment to academic excellence, student success, and experiential learning in the health and sciences.
We seek an enthusiastic educator to teach Introduction to Chemistry for Nursing (CH 105) and its accompanying laboratory. This foundational course serves primarily first-year undergraduate students pursuing degrees in nursing, dental hygiene, and neuroscience, and plays a vital role in preparing future healthcare professionals.
This position offers the opportunity to engage closely with motivated students in a supportive and collaborative department. The successful candidate will teach both lecture and laboratory components in person on the Weston campus. The schedule is as follows:
- Lecture: Monday & Wednesday, 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM
- Laboratory sections: Tuesday, 2:00 – 4:00 PM and Thursday, 2:00 – 4:00 PM
Classes begin August 31, 2026. Lab sessions start the second week of the semester.

Essential Functions
- Teach CH 105-02 (lecture), CH 105XA-02, and CH 105XB-02 (lab) as a synchronous, in person course and engage with all responsibilities associated with teaching: grading, office hours, student engagement, lab preparation and set-up as needed, curriculum alignment with other course sections, and academic assessment.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement: An earned MS in Chemistry; PhDs preferred.
- Previous teaching experience (lectures and labs) at the undergraduate level preferred.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom learning environment in keeping with the University's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
- Ability to collaborate with other STEM faculty to ensure consistency across class sections as needed.
- Familiarity with academic assessment.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Normal classroom environment, not subject to extremes in noise, odors, etc.
- General Chemistry Laboratory environment
