Dean of Students

Regis Catholic Schools is seeking a Dean of Students to join our leadership team and support the daily operations of Regis Middle School and/or Regis High School.
The Dean of Students plays an important role in creating a safe, respectful, orderly, and faith-filled learning environment for our students. This position works closely with the Principal, teachers, students, families, and other members of the school leadership team to support student success and the effective operation of the school.
Student Support & Discipline
- Oversee and support student discipline in accordance with Regis Catholic Schools policies and procedures.
- Meet with students, parents, teachers, and administrators regarding behavioral, academic, attendance, and other student concerns.
- Monitor attendance and follow up on attendance concerns.
- Coordinate detention and other student support programs.
- Help mediate and resolve routine student, parent, and teacher concerns.
- Support students with Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and other instructional accommodations.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and local school districts regarding student needs.
- Assist with new student enrollment, school tours, and orientation.
School Operations & Events
- Coordinate and oversee a variety of school-wide events and activities.
- Organize RMS Shadow Days and student/family orientation activities.
- Assist with high school graduation and other major school events.
- Supervise students during lunch, activities, events, and other assigned times.
- Contribute to positive communication and collaboration throughout the school community.
Safety & School Operations
- Help maintain a safe and secure school environment.
- Support building-level crisis and emergency preparedness procedures.
- Monitor campus parking and traffic procedures.
- Assist with building supervision and other operational needs.
Administrative Leadership
- Support the Principal and school leadership team in the effective administration and operation of the school.
- Implement Regis Catholic Schools and Diocesan policies and procedures.
- Serve as Principal in the Principal’s absence, as assigned.
- Attend meetings, professional development, workshops, and training as required.
- Assist with other administrative responsibilities as needed.
Catholic Identity
- Promote a Catholic school environment where students are encouraged to live out the Gospel message.
- Support the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Encourage opportunities for students and staff to grow in their Catholic faith.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant Church teachings and fulfill applicable Diocesan religious certification requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Wisconsin teacher licensure or eligibility for Wisconsin teacher licensure.
- At least three years of successful teaching experience, preferably in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
- Coursework or experience in school administration, educational leadership, or a related field.
- Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Regis Catholic Schools.
- Working knowledge of Church documents and teachings related to Catholic schools.
- Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, administrators, and community partners.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive student and family matters.
- Flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to step in wherever needed to support students and the school community.
