What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRI Technologist position at Regions Hospital?
Work with a great team and cutting edge scanning technology as a patient-centered MRI Technologist in a Level 1 Trauma Center. This position joins an expanding team and performs MRI exams using independent judgment and initiative, prepares patients for MRI exams, administers contrast media, and is capable of starting an intravenous catheter. This position also functions as a resource for Radiologic Technology students and interns and is an advocate for MRI safety.
This job provides:
Environmental balance - 1.5-2 techs per scanner.
Safety focus around MRI safety.

Lots of variety - rotation through both clinics and Regions Hospital.
No call!
Holiday rotation.
Work Schedule:
Day/Eve mix of 8 and 12 hr. shifts. 0.8 FTE. One day of a weekend per month. Holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications:
MRI Certified
One year of Radiologic Technologist clinical experience.
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Registered as an MRI Technologist with the ARRT.
BLS from an AHA- or ARC-sponsored program.
ARRT Certified
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Obtain the advanced ARRT registry in MRI within 18 months of hire.
BLS from an AHA- or ARC-sponsored program.
