Regional Water Resource Agency (RWRA), the municipal wastewater (sewer) utility located in Owensboro, KY, is accepting resumes for the position of Accounts Receivable/Board Clerk.
This position is primarily responsible for the Accounts Receivable functions including billing, collections, and maintaining files. This position serves as liaison between the Executive Director/Agency staff and Board of Directors, as well as works closely with Board Counsel. This position also performs clerical as well as administrative duties and may handle special projects and assignments.
Essential Job Duties:
* Performs accounts receivable functions, communicates with other departments to gather data, prepares billing, and generates invoices for customers, such as industries that have sewer meters, transported waste, lab testing, etc.
* Collects outstanding Accounts Receivables by contacting vendors for payment
* Serves as Clerk to the RWRA Board and joint City-County Rate Review Board
* Administers property, casualty and liability insurance claims and maintains insurance claim files; reviews insurance claims with adjuster and/or underwriter; participates in quarterly and annual insurance review meetings; participates in insurance renewal process
* Keeps Insurance Policies up to date, and reviews Certificates of Liability Insurance submitted by contractors for adequate coverage
Job Preferences and Requirements:
* Position requires an associate’s degree in business administration or accounting
* Two to three years of accounting and/or business-related experience is required
* One to two years of experience in legal, government or public utility is preferred

* Full-time, non-exempt position
* Beginning pay range: $28.04/hour to $34.01/hour
