This position is responsible for the direct supervision of employees that inspect maintain, repair and clean vehicles and equipment. This position also supervises the storeroom and Maintenance Sign-Out and Service / Cleaning employees.

Duties & Responsibilities :

ESSENTIAL :

• Recruits staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, and counseling to ensure consistent application of Employee Guidelines, processes, and procedures. Conducts performance review, and holds employees accountable for performance of their responsibilities.
• Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs and monitors maintenance activities through RTD Maintenance Reporting System programs and other tracking systems. Monitors and follows up on coach and equipment warranty issues.
• Conducts scheduled inspections of work area to ensure fleet equipment, inventory and facilities are maintained in clean, safe and functional operating condition.
• Implements security measures to comply with Homeland Security guidelines.
• Coordinates scheduling of buses for all scheduled maintenance
• Ensures compliance with Local, State and Federal regulations.
