REGIONAL SCHOOL UNIT NO. 57 Office of the Superintendent Waterboro, ME  04087 Title: Food Service Substitute Reports to: Kitchen Manager Position Summary:  To produce and serve nutritious and visually appealing meals in a safe and sanitary manner Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) or ability to attain Skills/Abilities: Basic math, reading and communication skills Ability to work as a productive member of a team Ability to safely use all necessary kitchen equipment Ability to learn and follow all federal, state and local rules/regulations in relation to the School Nutrition Program   Responsibilities: Assists with food preparation, serving, cooking, and baking Assists in cleaning the kitchen and serving areas Provides excellent customer service to students and staff Must maintain daily/weekly employee timesheet Adheres to all district policies and procedures Consults with the Kitchen Manager when questions arise Completes additional duties as assigned    Physical Demands: The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.    The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, climb stairs, lift (ranging from 25-60lbs), bend, pull, push, walk, kneel, crouch, and perform other physical tasks that may be required from time to time. The employee must have the ability to stand for periods as long as 6 hours or more on a cement/tile kitchen floor. The employee must have the ability to work in a hot, humid environment.
