Located in Sullivan, Maine, just 15 minutes outside of Ellsworth and 45 minutes from Bar Harbor, our school values strong relationships, collaboration, and a commitment to helping every student succeed.
We are seeking a passionate and organized Middle School Social Studies Teacher who is excited to work with middle school students and contribute to a positive, student-centered school culture.
Position Summary
The Middle School Social Studies Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, standards-based instruction to students in grades 6-8. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity about history, geography, civics, and current events while building strong relationships with students and colleagues.
This teacher will work closely with grade-level teams, content-area colleagues, and staff across departments to support student learning and success. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills are essential.

The successful candidate must hold, or be eligible for, a Maine Department of Education Teacher Certification (#200M 5-8), (#200S 7-12), and/or a general (#020 General K-8) certification. Candidates must also hold a current Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check.
