High School Educational Technician 1 - Study Hall Monitor FTE
Located a ½ mile from the Atlantic Ocean and 15 minutes from Portland, Old Orchard Beach High School is a 200 student campus. We are seeking an Educational Technician I - Study Hall Monitor to join our team. The successful candidate should possess the following:
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Citizenship, residency or work visa
- Maine Department of Education CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) https://www.maine.gov/doe/cert/fingerprinting
- Maine DOE Educational Technician I Authorization certification
QUALIFICATIONS / JOB SUMMARY:
- Works with individuals or small groups of students to provide instruction and assessment.
- Works independently to supervise groups of students.
- Ensures a safe environment through implementing campus expectations consistently.
- Keeps clear communication with students and staff.
- Supports students with accommodations and/or modifications.
- Supports problem solving and stress reduction strategies.
- Maintains an orderly environment, following all safety procedures and expectations.
- Applies classroom rules, expectations, materials and assignments consistently.
- Uses educational technology and written records to document and/or support student learning.
