Registered Nurse, Infusion
The Registered Nurse, Infusion serves as a care team member that specializes in the administration of medications and fluids. Assesses the physical, psychological, and social needs of the patient, and improves the care experience for the patient and their family. Responsible for the nursing care of patients in the infusion area. Coordinates communication with providers on behalf of the patient. Meets the needs of the patient in relation to education, screening, prevention and follow-up care.
What you will do
- Assesses the physical, psychological, and social needs of the patient, and improves the care experience for the patient and their family.
- Administers medications to patients to include high risk medications, antibiotics, and/or fluids.
- Creates a seamless flow through the health system to facilitate the patient’s care.
- Develops and coordinates education, resources, and activities that provide understanding and support for patients and families.
- Maintains reliable systems to document, track and monitor patient data.
- Performs clinical procedures within the scope of nursing practice and clinical training.
- May perform telephone duties within the scope of RN role.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Required and
- BSN Preferred
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state where work is performed. Upon Hire Required and
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- ACLS within 180 Days Required
- ONS Certification (Chemotherapy Certification) obtained with six (6) months. Preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Required
