HVAC Service Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of a high-volume HVAC service department, managing technicians and staff.
• Optimize scheduling and workload distribution to maximize efficiency and service quality.
• Hire, train, and mentor technicians, focusing on both technical expertise and sales skills.
• Implement and teach effective sales techniques and customer service best practices.
• Maintain strong communication between customers, office staff, sales teams, and field technicians.
• Track and report team performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Ensure proper documentation of all jobs, maintaining company standards and compliance.
• Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and evolving best practices.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of residential HVAC experience, with management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to develop and grow a high-performing team.
• Extensive technical knowledge in diagnosing and servicing residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Proven ability to train technicians in diagnostic techniques, including high-efficiency inverter systems.
• Sales-driven mindset with excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screenings.
• Capable of handling heavy equipment and working in outdoor conditions as needed.

You must have these things: 

• 1-year experience as an HVAC Service Technician
• Valid US Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test and background check

• Clean, adjust and repair HVAC systems- air handling units, duct work, vents, condensation drainage
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems and equipment to diagnose
• Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Track repairs and work completed in trade software, Service Titan
• Engage with customers/clients to inform them of issues, solutions and outcomes; recommend products and services for optimal system performance
