Our locally owned title company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Title Officer. We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, well-organized person with a strong work ethic and desire to find solutions to help customers have a truly remarkable experience. The person must create a positive image of the company through professional appearance, actions, and conduct to fellow employees and customers. This position will be full-time, working in office, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
Position Summary:
The Title Officer will serve as the first impression for our clients and is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greeting clients and visitors as they walk through the door;
· Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls;
· Review purchase agreements, lender instructions, and search examination notes to prepare title commitments;
· Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of all transaction information;
· Work as a team with the production and closing staff to maintain excellence in title services as well as a quality product for our customers;
· Field inquiries from customers;
· Assist with title clearance and obtaining lien payoffs as time permits.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
· Minimum of 2 years of escrow or title industry experience is preferred, but not required;
· Excellent customer service and phone etiquette;
· Exceptional typing accuracy;
· Proficiency in escrow software and Microsoft Office Suite;
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
· Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment;
· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail;
· Ability to manage multiple files and meet strict deadlines;
· Customer Service with a Positive & Team Player Type of attitude;
· Notary public or be bondable.
