Job Title: Temporary Holiday Donation Coordinator
Supervisor: Director of Volunteer Services
Supervisory Responsibilities: Volunteers
Status: Temporary, Full Time (40 hours) Non- exempt
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school or equivalency diploma. Good organizational, communication and planning skulls. Strong people skills including the ability to work with people of different backgrounds and levels of understanding. Must be trustworthy and reliable. Availability to workdays, evenings, and weekends. Valid New York State Driver's License Preferred.
Physical requirements: This position works in a mall setting and can be exposed to fluctuating temperatures. There will be extended periods of standing and moderate amounts of bending, lifting, and handling materials. This position will normally have routine opportunities for the employee to alter their physical position or change eye focus. Employees should have the ability to lift up to 15 pounds without assistance.
Position Summary: Responsible for instructing, motivating and accounting for individual and group volunteers soliciting monetary donations for the Food Bank in the mall. Employee is responsible for cash handling and daily set-up/tear-down of the station.
This a temporary position lasting 21 days from November 28- December 24 consisting of 40 hours per week as follows:
Saturday 11:00am- 7:30pm
Sunday 11:00am-7:30 pm
Monday 11:00am-7:30 pm
Tuesday 11:00am- 7:30pm
Wednesday 11:00am-7:30pm
Dutieis and Responsibilities:
- Arrives on time and helps volunteers, set-up tables, signs and printed materials.
- Leads volunteers to sign-in and out ensuring accurate accounting of volunteer attendance
- Cheerfully instructs volunteers of their duties and assist as necessary
- Maintains a clean and safe workspace
- Follows all safety standards and procedures
- Works independently and collaboratively with volunteers and staff in support of the mission of the food bank
- Adheres to the Food bank's employee code of conduct
- Performs other duties as assigned

Trustworthy and able to collect, count and deposit monetary donations
Able to accurately track volunteers hours in writing
Able to work in a active, fast-paced environment
Able to stand, walk and lift up to 15 pounds on a regular basis
Able to work in a mall setting where temperatures fluctuate
Responsible for daily supervision of the workstation
Available weekdays, weeknights and weekends on a prearranged schedule.
Committed to the cause of hunger relief and serious about working hard for a good cause
