Duties
- Perform comprehensive pediatric dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using dental terminology and medical imaging techniques.
- Deliver a wide range of dental treatments such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics tailored for children.
- Utilize advanced dental software systems like Oryx to document medical records accurately and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Conduct oral surgery procedures with precision, including dental extractions and other surgical interventions suitable for pediatric patients.
- Educate patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans to promote long-term dental health.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow using four-handed dentistry techniques, optimizing patient comfort and clinic productivity.
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice dentistry with specialization in pediatric dentistry.
- Proven experience working in dental clinics or offices with a focus on pediatrics and general dentistry procedures.
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric anatomy, dental terminology, medical terminology, and infection control standards.
- Ability to perform complex procedures including root canals, dental fabrications, and endodontics with confidence.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
