We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Start/Early Head Start Director to oversee and lead our Head Start/Early Head Start program. Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, direction, and administration for the Head Start and Early Head Start programs, ensuring effective coordination of all program service areas.
  • Supervise the Head Start/Early Head Start Leadership staff in their job performance and responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with the Head Start Act, Head Start Program Performance Standards, federal regulations, state and local licensing requirements, along with agency policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate efforts to achieve required Non-Federal Share (In-Kind) contributions and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Development, implement, and review annually the Community Assessment and use data to establish program goals, priorities, and service delivery strategies.
  • Preparation, submit, implement, and monitor grant applications, continuation applications, budget narratives, amendments, and other required federal reports.
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and Finance Director to develop, monitor, and manage program budgets, ensuring responsible stewardship of federal funds and compliance with all fiscal requirements.
  • Ensure comprehensive monitoring systems are in place to evaluate program quality, regulatory compliance, child outcomes, family engagement, health and safety practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development and Education or a closely related field.
  • Experience in non-profit management, including leadership, budgeting, and organizational oversight.
  • Demonstrated expertise in program management with a minimum of three (3) years of direct experience managing programs, staff, and services.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, family engagement, and community partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $70,304.00 - $72,800.00 per year
