Key Responsibilities
- Manages client insurance, eligibility, and tracking of services.
- Submission of authorizations for clients based on individual payor requirements.
- Schedules appointments with families and insurance companies; maintains and updates daily calendar.
- Day to day technician scheduling
- Sets up and maintains files and records which may contain confidential information.
- Manages client waiting list.
- Schedules and coordinates Coordination of Care meetings with clinicians for documentation and service supports.
- Administers/coordinates programs, projects, and/or processes as assigned.
- Audit documentation and report Key Performance Indicators
- Identify and schedule client cases
- Utilize EMR and create documents for clinicians
- Manage and task documentation due dates for assessments, treatment plans and other clinical documentation
- Create and provide Complex Case Conceptualization for client cases with natural and formal resources within the communities
- Network with community providers, evaluators and county support systems to represent the company at events, through email and other collaborative activities
- Independently identify authorization process for new and established insurance companies for authorization purposes
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated understanding of case management principles, practices, and ethical guidelines.
- Familiarity with various insurance plans, including Medical Assistance, UPMC, Highmark, Carelon of PA, and Geisinger.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) or other relevant documentation systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
- Proficient in documentation, including the ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate case notes, treatment plans, and reports in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations (HIPAA).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in case management or similar role.
