Region VI Planning and Development Council (a local group of individuals committed to excellence) is looking for a detail-oriented, responsible, organized, and dedicated individual to join our team of professionals. The position that is currently open is for a Project Administrator who can begin work immediately.
It is expected that our new teammate will possess the technical abilities and experience for quickly becoming proficient in managing infrastructure projects, grant writing and reporting, project team coordination, and the variety of other talents and skills needed to improve the quality of life in West Virginia. Project management/administration experience is preferred, as is proficiency with standard office software, good interpersonal, communication, and written skills, confidence in public speaking, the ability to problem-solve, and work either supervised or unsupervised.
Our new team member must live in or adjacent to the region and is preferred to have obtained a bachelor’s degree in planning, political science, history, Geography/GIS or related field. However, candidates with related experience, a strong work ethic, and a proactive and initiative-taking mentality will also be considered.
