POSITION TITLE: FINANCIAL/REGISTRATION SPECIALIST
General Statement Of Responsibilities
This is a FLSA non-exempt position. The incumbent serves as the central point of contact regarding financial eligibility for new consumers entering Region Ten through the Access Department. The Registration and Financial Specialist meets face to face with new consumers to obtain financial information, such as health insurance policy details, and/or obtain income status for determining reduced service fees for consumers who qualify. The incumbent also obtains payer authorizations from consumers’ commercial insurance companies, when needed. The incumbent reports to the Access and Adult Clinical Services (AACS) Director. Duty performance requires a wide array of independent action, creativity and skill. The incumbent plans own work within major objectives as established by the AACS Director. In carrying out position duties, he/she performs in accordance with applicable professional ethics, state reimbursement policies and established Region Ten policies and procedures.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: High School Diploma required
EXPERIENCE: Three years of healthcare reimbursement experience is preferred.

SALARY: Initial rate starts at $16.54/hr. (Negotiable based on education and experience)
