CLASSIFICATION TITLE: Clinician II/III
General Statement Of Responsibilities
This is a FLSA non-exempt position in which the incumbent assists with the provision of counseling services for the Wellness Recovery Center. They are responsible for providing counseling and rehabilitation services to individuals with mental health, intellectual disability, or substance use problems that are in crisis. Incumbent will be responsible for evaluation, assessment, developing treatment plans, counseling interventions, stabilization, and discharge assessments. The incumbent will report to the Director III and/or Program Manager II of Region Ten’s Wellness Recovery Center. They will be expected to work independently under standard practices of care and refer questionable or unusual situations to their supervisor. In fulfilling the expectations of this position, they perform in accordance with applicable policies and professional ethics of Region Ten and the counseling position with applicable professional ethics and established Region Ten policies. The Clinician is part of the Wellness Recovery Center Clinical Group, which is responsible for the psychosocial rehabilitation and determination of course of treatment for the consumers.

Qualifications
EDUCATION:
CLINCIAN II
- Master’s degree and license eligible according the DHP definition:
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, substance abuse, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited college or university:
- Education verified by an official transcript with conferral date
- Evidence you have had an intern or practicum of at least 500 hours of experience with persons who have a mental illness. (Verification of Internship/Practicum for QMHP form)
- Is under the direct personal supervision of a person licensed under Virginia law, who is working towards licensure, and who is in compliance with the appropriate Virginia licensing board may perform the functions of the LMHP for purposes of Medicaid

CLINICIAN III
- Licensed clinicians as one of the following:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Clinical Psychologists
- 1-2 years of relevant mental health experience
- LCSW, LPC, or LCP (preferred)
- Eligible to seek licensure for LPC or LCSW through the Virginia Department of Health Professions and do so within 6 months of date of hire
- To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the program, a valid Virginia Driver’s License plus an acceptable driving record as issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles are required. For business use of a personal car, a certificate of valid personal automobile insurance must
