Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety and stabilize acute situations promptly.
- Facilitate psychoeducational groups focused on addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and mental health awareness.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical staff, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate holistic patient care.
- Monitor patient progress through ongoing assessments and adjust treatment approaches accordingly to optimize outcomes.
Master's degree required in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
Job duties include but not limited to:
Facilitate individual and group therapy
Facilitate family therapy as needed
Consult with outside agencies as needed to the benefit of the individual
Maintain current documentation of services in clinical records
Complete all chart work as scheduled
Adhere to all agency and program requirements
Participate in all staff and agency meetings, to include treatment team meetings
Be punctual while performing all duties
Work collaboratively with other treatment team staff
Establish a positive professional rapport with administrative staff and outside agencies
Handle crisis situations effectively while demonstrating excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
