Job Summary: The Digital Learning Specialist provides leadership and support to advance effective digital learning practices across Region 7. This role delivers professional learning, coaching, and technical assistance to districts, charter schools, and ESC staff to enhance instructional practices and improve student outcomes through the integration of digital tools, emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence (AI). The specialist collaborates with stakeholders to design and implement innovative solutions, facilitates professional learning networks, and supports the development and implementation of the Digital Learning WriteAlign platform to ensure impactful, scalable, and future-ready learning environments.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
- Bachelor Degree or required license
- Prefer Master Degree in related field
Experience:
- At least 5 years of related experience.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide high-quality professional learning, coaching, and technical assistance to Region 7 districts and charter schools to support effective implementation of blended and digital learning practices.
- Design, develop, and facilitate engaging professional development experiences that promote the integration of instructional technology and improve student outcomes.
- Support the implementation and responsible use of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), by providing guidance, resources, and training for educators and leaders.
- Collaborate with district and campus leadership to plan, implement, and evaluate digital learning and technology initiatives aligned to instructional goals and organizational priorities.
- Provide training and technical support to ESC staff to strengthen internal capacity and support organizational technology initiatives.
- Facilitate and sustain professional learning networks that encourage collaboration, innovation, and the sharing of best practices in digital learning.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Digital Learning WriteAlign platform by collaborating with stakeholders, contributing to platform enhancements, and aligning resources to instructional needs.
- Design and deliver training and resources to support effective use of the WriteAlign platform, ensuring successful adoption and impact on teaching and learning.
- Monitor emerging trends, research, and advancements in educational technology and AI to inform program development, training, and strategic initiatives.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.

Funding:
All Region 7 employees are at-will employees. Because your assignment is funded by grants, federal funding, and/or special funding, your continued employment is expressly conditioned on the availability of funding for the position. If funding becomes unavailable due to loss of state/federal funding or due to financial constraints of Region 7 ESC, your position is subject to immediate termination.
Salary : $80,732 - $111,482
