Job Overview
To provide compliance support and technical assistance to the Brazos Valley COG AEL Program. Will assist eligible individuals in transitioning for adult education to post-secondary education or employment. Emphasis in providing career planning, job search assistance, and connecting participants with support services. Will also work to build and establish partnerships with employers and tracking participant progress and outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Certification in State approved assessment utilized by Adult Education and Literacy required
- Texas Teacher Certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Adult Education preferred
Special Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of Adult Education and Literacy programs: ABE, ASE, GED, ESL, Career Pathways, IET, and Academy Models
- Understanding of federal and state AEL objectives, TEAMS data, professional development requirements and various community resource networks in the Brazos Valley COG area
- Strong public relations, organizational, training, presentation, and data management skills.
- Ability to use technology effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Effective in compiling reports and development of training materials
Major Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide guidance to AEL staff on career navigation strategies, including aligning instruction with career pathways and local labor market needs.
- Develop and disseminate best practices, tools, and resources to enhance career pathway integration.
- Conduct virtual and on-site technical assistance visits to assess needs and improve service delivery.
- Assist programs and Brazos Valley COG stakeholders in integrating career and college readiness components into instructional or transition services.
- Serve as a liaison between the lead agency and local mentors/apprentices to troubleshoot and share implementation strategies.
- Support local program in meeting performance targets related to employment, MSGs and credential attainment.
- Collaborate with workforce boards, postsecondary institutions and community partners to strengthen career navigation support structures.
- Serve on relevant workgroups or task forces related to career pathways and instructional workforce development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Bryan Adult Education Center Director.

- Occasional travel within the Brazos Valley COG geographic area
Working Conditions
- Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions, including frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse; occasional reaching
- Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).
- Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours outside of the standard 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
