We're adding Plant Operators at our Newport, Tennessee facility. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes running a process — and keeping it running well.
What you'll do:
- Run daily plant operations — measuring and loading reagents and feedstock, collecting samples, operating equipment to procedure
- Keep the plant clean, organized, and well-maintained, including materials handling and tailings disposal
- Track reagent, consumable, and spare-parts supply so operations don't stall
- Support pilot testing, record data, and write up technical reports
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance; flag irregularities to supervisors
- Work to our technical and safety standards at all times
What we're looking for:
- Plant operations experience — monitoring processes and following standard operating procedures
- Machine operation and basic maintenance of production equipment
- Quality control: inspections, testing, and accurate recordkeeping
- Safe forklift operation and material handling, with attention to load limits and site safety
- A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, schedules, and safety documentation
- Teamwork, communication, and problem-solving in a plant environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in manufacturing, metals recovery, or chemical processing is an asset
