What are the responsibilities and job description for the VA Certifying Official position at Regent University?
The VA Certifying Official (VCO) coordinates and provides all military-affiliated benefits processing and related customer service in the Financial Aid Office. The VCO serves as a liaison between the VA, DOD, students, and other military third-party vendors and government agencies. This position will field a high volume of internal contacts within a call center environment. The VCO will also ensure timely and compliant processing of student files.

Salary: $41,000- 46,000 annually

Essential Duties
- Develop a deep understanding of issues and needs confronting military-affiliated students and assist in the development of effective ways to address those issues and needs.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of military-affiliated benefits
- Provides extraordinary customer service
- Coordinates and participates in Regent and military association events.
- Assists, advises and counsels prospective and current students on the application process and use of their benefits.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proven Track records as a customer service champion
- Ability to plan and adapt to change
- Experience in process management and problem-solving
- Superior experience with Microsoft Office software
- Prior military experience or affiliation highly preferred
