The center has two (2) Operating Rooms and two (2) Procedure Rooms which focus on the following surgical specialties: gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, pain management, podiatry, and urology.

Position Summary
Operate imaging equipment and perform diagnostic x-rays (if applicable) on patients as ordered by the physician and under the guidance of the physician. Assist in preparing the operating/procedure rooms, as needed. Document duration of radiation, test equipment weekly, examine protective x- ray aprons for integrity, and document the results of tests/examinations. Maintain all necessary documentation, logs, equipment reports, etc. related to the radiology services offered at the center.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competence in x-ray / fluoroscopy technologist skills.
- Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors and positioning and consistently produce high-quality images.
- Demonstrate competence and proficient use of equipment.
- Adequately troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Oversee and manage the performance of required maintenance of equipment by adhering to cleaning care, storage, and calibration procedures as directed.
- Demonstrate proficiency in procedure preparation. Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduling procedures according to physician’s preference card.
- Proficiently practices radiation safety for self and patient. Wears radiological monitoring devices and adheres to principles of radiation protection.
- Maintain established safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Report infractions to supervisor.
- Follow the center exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
- Radiology Technologist license (as required by State)
- ARRT certification (as required by State)
- BLS certification (as required by individual ASC policy)
- Minimum of one year fluoroscopy experience
