Job Duties
- Complete wound rounds on entire building weekly and upon admission which includes updating all orders and spreadsheet. Email updated wound spreadsheet weekly to the appropriate team members
- Make sure initial wound pictures and assessments are complete for all wounds that were noted on clinical admission and that treatments are in place
- Review charts to ensure wound list is updated, treatment orders in place, wound pictures on discharge are updated for entire building
- Notify all family members on wounds for the entire building as needed
- Assist nurses with initial skin assessments for all admits
- Assist in entering admit orders as needed if there are multiple admits.
- Audit discharges, facility deaths, and hospitalization to ensure proper system updates have been completed
- Send requests to hospitals, doctors’ office, etc. for medical records
- Retrieve medical records when requested from appropriate sources
- Monitor certs and re-certs
- LTC insurance requests
- DPOA/resident requests
- Address any needs with staff.
- Work the floor if needed as last resort for coverage.
- Triple check for the entire building monthly
- Audit admission documents
- Ensure that admission IAT’s are signed by appropriate provider for Belmont and Amherst are uploaded in chart
- Ensure DRRs are signed, completed, and uploaded for Belmont and Amherst
- Complete MNA’s for Belmont and Amherst, this is a partnership role with CDM
- Receive monthly physician pharmacy drug regimen review concerns and recommendations. Give these to the providers and update PCC with any new orders
- Participate in all meetings that are required (QAPI, stand up, it is not limited to these)
- QAPI monthly reporting
- Ensure nursing staff complete all components of the risk management process. Complete the root cause analysis note and update the intervention in risk management after IDT discussion
- On-call rotation one weekend every 5 weeks (additional pay provided for taking weekend call)
- Must have a current RN or LPN license in the State of Kansas
- Previous nursing job experience preferred
- Must have excellent time management skills and be able to work on deadlines
- Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs
