What You'll Do
- Greet & check in patients with professionalism and warmth.
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient registration.
- Verify insurance coverage & collect co-pays to support access to care.
- Answer phone calls & assist with patient inquiries in a helpful, friendly manner.
- Ensure accurate data entry into the electronic health records (EHR) system.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA regulations.
- Support a smooth and efficient front office operation to enhance the patient experience.
- Be a steward for the mission of ReGenesis Health Care.
- Excellent customer service skills - A welcoming, patient-centered approach.
- Strong communication & organization skills - Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Computer proficiency - Comfort using Microsoft Office and EHR system (training provided).
- Previous experience in a medical office, customer service, or administrative role is a plus, but not required.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply!
- Associate’s degree in health/social sciences or a related field with 1-2 years’ experience in the health care system; or High School diploma with more than 2 years’ experience in a health care system.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written or oral communication skills.
- Proven diplomatic approach to complex situations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to work M - F from 8am - 5pm with flexibility to work health center locations in Spartanburg and Cherokee counties.
- Valid SC Driver’s License
- CPR/AED certification preferred.
- Certified Medical Insurance Specialist (CMIS) or equivalent certification desirable.
