This role works in a medical device laboratory and/or machine shop to perform testing and development activities defined by the Combination Products Applied Research group. When & Where
- Location: East Greenbush, New York, United States
- Work model: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
- Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs laboratory and/or machine shop equipment
- Assists with maintenance of laboratory/machine shop supplies and testing materials
- Provides subject matter expertise for operation and proper application of laboratory and/or machine shop equipment
- Develops test methods for testing of combination products
- Authors operator instructions and logbooks
- Assists with equipment qualification including preparation of system requirements and IQ/OQ development
- Performs feasibility testing, test method validation and design verification and inspection for combination products
- Authors reports detailing results of testing
- Documents deviations, performs investigations and implements corrective/preventive actions
- Assists with combination product, assembly and test equipment development
- Follows current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs)
- Requires a BS/BA in an engineering field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Engineering Technician I: 0-2 years of experience
- Engineering Technician II: 2 years of experience
- Level will be determined based on experience
- Experience in a cGMP environment preferred.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical and/or functional laboratory testing preferred
