PAY RANGE: Hourly Position - $23.00 to $27.00 per hours depending on experience and qualifications
Regency Transportation & Warehousing is a family owned/operated logistics provider spanning the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Accounts Payable Clerk. This position is full-time and in-person at our corporate headquarters in Franklin, MA.
Summary:
This position is responsible for providing all aspects of the accounts payable functions.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy and proper approval.
- Enter and process invoices in the accounting system for payment.
- Facilitate payment to vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, review purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure payments are made accurately and within agreed-upon terms.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain positive relationships with employees and vendors.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of invoices, payments, and financial documents.
- Assist with audits by providing requested accounts payable information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve recurring issues and enhance overall process efficiency.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Skills:
- Proficiency in financial software (Great Plains a plus) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team interactions.
- Familiarity with accounts payable best practices and process improvement strategies.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
