Job and Ideal Candidate:
We have an outstanding billing and finance team, which has a stellar track record while providing great customer service to patients.
- The Authorization Specialist will verify eligibility and benefits for in-office surgeries, patch allergy testing, and OR cases.
- This position will submit authorization requests to various insurance carriers for in-office surgeries, patch allergy testing, and OR cases.
- The Authorization Specialist will ensure complete follow through on all authorization requests prior to surgery date.
- This position will verify surgery benefits and patient deposit amounts for in-office surgeries and patch allergy testing.
- This position will support internal and external customers via phone calls, billing help desk, and billing team emails.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Full cycle billing experience is a plus
- Previous experience in third-party insurance, eligibility, and benefits required
- Successful candidates for this job will have strong analytical skills
- Precision, attention to detail, and organization are all critical for the job
- Successful in time management
- Minimum typing speed is 50 wpm
- Proven track record of working well on teams and delivering excellence.
- Excellent verbal and written skills required. Customer service experience a plus.
