Day to Day

Regency Senior Living is looking for dependable and compassionate Medication Technicians / Med Techs to join our team.

As a Medication Technician, you will help ensure residents receive their medications safely, accurately, and on time while supporting their overall health, comfort, and well-being. This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, dependable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and enjoys caring for seniors.


Responsibilities

  • Administer or assist residents with medications in accordance with state regulations and community policies
  • Accurately document medication administration and maintain required medication records
  • Monitor residents for changes, concerns, or potential medication-related issues and report them to the appropriate supervisor
  • Maintain medication carts, medication rooms, and supplies in a clean, organized, and secure manner
  • Follow proper procedures for medication storage, ordering, receiving, and disposal
  • Communicate professionally with residents, families, nurses, pharmacies, and other team members
  • Assist residents with daily living needs and provide resident care as needed
  • Respond promptly and compassionately to resident needs
  • Follow resident care plans, community policies, safety procedures, and state guidelines


Skills/Competencies

  • TN Medication Technician Certification/License required
  • Previous senior living, assisted living, long-term care, or medication administration experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow medication orders accurately
  • A caring, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • A heart for serving seniors with dignity and respect
  • Ability to pass required background checks and employment requirements

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our team in providing exceptional care in an assisted living environment.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medication administration and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.  This
 role requires a blend of clinical skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with varying abilities. 
Duties:
Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines. 
Maintain accurate medication records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations. 
Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medication and report findings to nursing staff. 
Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans. 
Provide support and care for individuals with disabilities, fostering a supportive environment.
Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation and communication purposes.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in medication administration.
Experience:
Certification as a Medication Technician is required. 
Previous experience in Assisted Living.
