Do you bring at least three years of experience as a Business Office Manager in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and 1 year of experience as a BOM in an ALF Community, and enjoy working in a collaborative, solutions-focused environment? Position Overview:
As a key member of our regional operations team, the Field Accountant provides essential support and guidance to the Business Offices across approximately 8–9 Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living communities. This role is ideal for a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to teamwork, integrity, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer hands-on support and oversight for business office functions, including accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, trust accounting, payroll, human resources, and vacancy coverage.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of established financial and administrative systems (including Paycom, PCC, etc.).
- Analyze and support collections processes for all payors, including account audits and research.
- Prepare monthly reporting on private pay accounts to both facility and corporate leadership.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with business office standards and best practices.
- Deliver training and ongoing support to Business Office teams.
- Provide interim coverage and leadership at the facility level when Business Office Manager positions are vacant.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Office Manager in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) a must; experience in Assisted Living Facility (ALF) settings is a plus.
- Proficiency with accounting, payroll, and HR systems; experience with Paycom and PCC strongly preferred.
- Strong computer and data entry skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to travel up to 90% of the time and work onsite during regular business hours.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Proven ability to work independently while maintaining a strong team-oriented approach.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, supportive attitude.
- Experience in staff training and development is highly desirable.
