Regency Oaks is recruiting for a hospitality focused EVS Director to join our team!
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the EVS Director:
- Supervises the performance of all housekeeping personnel through personal inspections and other quality control techniques.
- Selects, trains, evaluates and disciplines all housekeeping personnel.
- Keeps required records, reports, studies.
- Inspects all housekeeping and laundry equipment regularly for proper functioning and safety.
- Coordinates apartment refurbishing with the Plant Services Director.
- Coordinates department functions with those of other departments.
- Operates the Department within budget guidelines.
- Implements and monitors safety program of the department and all infection control policies and procedures.
- Tests and evaluates new products to improve efficiency.
- Complies with all federal, state and local codes, laws and regulations governing the Community and the Community Health Center.
- Delegates authority to supervisory staff for task details to facilitate the smooth flow of materials and services.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
High School diploma is required with a minimum of three to five years experience. National Executive Housekeeper’s Association Certificate or a technical degree in a field related to industrial housekeeping and laundry is preferred.
Must have the ability to think analytically and make independent and accurate decisions in solving problems and improving services.
Must have a working knowledge of the Environmental Services industry included but not limited to the following areas. The use and care of floor equipment, carpet care techniques, an understanding of infection control practices, as well as proper chemical usage and commercial laundry operation.
Must possess good oral and written communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to move throughout the building and grounds as needed throughout the day; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Good visual and hearing acuity required; good verbal communication skills required. May be exposed to communicable diseases, and blood and body fluids that may contain HIV and/or HBV. May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and offensive odors.
