A home care LNA provides a wide variety of services as necessary to meet the client's needs.
Their responsibilities include:
- Provide assistance with ADL's including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, linen changes, laundry, and light housekeeping.
- Accompany on outdoor activities, walks, shopping, etc.
- Assisting with mobility exercises as defined by the care plan and reporting changes to the RN clinical supervisor
- Prep and serve healthy meals
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Communicating with healthcare professionals and family members
- Keeping proper care records
- Reporting any unusual incidents or behavior
Qualifications/Skills:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively.
- Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, twist, climb, balance, crouch, and crawl. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum 2 year(s) pediatric experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors
Requirements:
- Must have a valid LNA license in the state of New Hampshire
- Negative TB skin test, QuantiFERON blood test, or chest X-ray
- Adhere to HIPPAA policy's and maintain client confidentiality
