We are seeking a Leasing Agent to join our Bethesda, Maryland regional office. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for the management and execution of our leasing strategies of company-owned properties on a multi-project level in the assigned territory and for developing and implementing an aggressive property-level leasing program to maximize occupancy, revenues, and revenue growth through lease agreements, in accordance with company standards. This person will be responsible for a portion of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area portfolio which encompasses Nearly 4M square feet in total.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lease new or existing vacant inline and outparcel space in the assigned portfolio to achieve budgeted revenue and rent growth increases.
Renew existing tenants’ leases to achieve maximum revenues while improving or maintaining tenant retention and satisfaction.
Identify and attract prospects and lease space in new and existing developments through existing relationships, market canvassing, and other strategic avenues.
Prepare production reports and annual income budgets.
Provide research and analytical support.
Maintain detailed tracking and progress software to help measure against organizational goals.
Are You Qualified?
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business management, finance, real estate, or related field
At least 2 years of commercial retail leasing experience but 3 to 5 years preferred
Knowledge of the retail leasing industry and landlord representation, leases, and sales contracts
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to travel throughout the market
Ability to interpret financial underwriting with respect to a transaction
Ability to review credit reports and financial data of a proposed tenant
Ability to collaborate with other departments to achieve the common goal of growing NOI
Quantitative and analytical skills
Established business contacts and/or knowledge of the local commercial real estate market preferred
