What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Aide position at Regency Care of Rogue Valley?
We are Regency Care of Rogue Valley, a skilled nursing community providing quality care to the residents we serve, located in Grants Pass, OR. We are looking for caring & compassionate resident minded individuals to join our team.
Part-Time / Weekend
As a Laundry Aide, you will assist in all aspects of laundering resident clothing and facility linens.
You will:
- Fold and distribute clean linens.
- Clean dryer lint screens
- Inspect mechanical lift slings and sling straps for fraying and wear
- Keep residents' closet/drawers orderly
- Minimize infections by following aseptic techniques, including blood-borne pathogens.
- Relate and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
- Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents.
You Currently:
- Have excellent customer service skills.
- Read, write, speak and understand English.
- Have compassion and interest in working with the senior population
- Can work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
