As an Engineering Manager at Regard, you will manage, lead, and grow squads of Software Engineers. You will play a core role, collaborating across engineering and product to lead the development of key features within our provider-facing product. You will be responsible for setting strategic vision, prioritization decisions, technical execution, and team leadership. You’ll play a key role in exploring and integrating generative AI to unlock new capabilities and elevate the user experience across our platform. This role will report directly to our CTO.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and support squads of AI-empowered engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development
- Lead development and delivery of product features, collaborating closely with product and design partners to drive user satisfaction and product adoption
- Drive technical decisions and contribute to system design, balancing long-term scalability with near-term delivery
- Support the team in maintaining production reliability and performance, including participation in on-call rotations
- Contribute to the codebase when needed to unblock the team or gain hands-on understanding of technical challenges
- Drive execution of complex technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and clinical subject matter experts to ensure smooth coordination and communication
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 6 years of software engineering experience (primarily Frontend or Full-stack), and 2 years spent leading teams of 5 or more developers
- Demonstrated proficiency with Python and/or Typescript
- Experience with AI coding tools and AI agents
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools (e.g., GitHub/GitLab, ArgoCD, Datadog, Sentry)
- Experience working in a dynamic startup and/or high-growth environments
- Experience working in enterprise SaaS environment, or health tech
- For this role, Regard is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, and are within either the New York City metropolitan area or the San Francisco Bay Area
- Employees based in San Francisco are expected to travel to NYC quarterly
- Our expectation for this role is to be in the office 3 days per week. We also require more frequent in-office work during the onboarding period and team onsite weeks up to once per month
- We will provide relocation assistance to anyone who does not already reside in the NYC metropolitan area
- Additionally, hybrid employees have the flexibility to work from locations outside of their home office from up to 6 weeks per year
