Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Public Relations Account Director based in Boston, MA. The Account Director will oversee the development and execution of strategic communication plans, manage client accounts, and cultivate relationships with media outlets to ensure effective media placement. Responsibilities include drafting and overseeing press releases, managing public relations campaigns, providing leadership to junior staff, and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction through proactive communication and results-driven strategies.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of public relations experience
- Proven experience in crafting Press Releases and managing Media Relations to secure coverage in traditional and digital platforms
- Strong foundation in Strategic Communications to develop and implement innovative public relations strategies
- Proficiency in Account Management, maintaining strong client relationships and meeting campaign objectives
- Expertise in Public Relations, with a successful track record in handling diverse clients and industries
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and mentor a team while coordinating cross-functional efforts
- Solid understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing concepts
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience in crisis communication management is a plus
