RegalCare at Quincy is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing team on an every other weekend schedule. The RN is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents, supervising nursing staff, ensuring compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations, and promoting a safe and positive environment for residents and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans.
- Assess, monitor, and document residents' conditions, reporting any significant changes to the physician and interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
- Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Respond promptly to resident needs, emergencies, and changes in condition.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Participate in shift reports and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold resident rights at all times.
- Perform other nursing duties as assigned.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong assessment, clinical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Every other weekend.
