The ideal candidate will be highly organized, knowledgeable in healthcare HR practices, and capable of auditing and reviewing payroll for financial and regulatory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support HR and payroll operations across multiple nursing home facilities in Massachusetts.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and healthcare industry standards.
- Conduct regular HR and payroll audits to identify discrepancies, ensure accurate financial reporting, and minimize compliance risks.
- Partner with facility leadership to address employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR best practices.
- Assist facilities with recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to support staffing needs.
- Monitor and review payroll submissions for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
- Provide training to HR and management staff on regulatory updates, documentation, and policy adherence.
- Collaborate with Chief People Officer to analyze the financial impact of payroll and HR decisions.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with HIPAA and personnel standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a regional or multi-site healthcare role (Skilled Nursing Facility experience strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Massachusetts and Federal labor laws, payroll compliance, and healthcare HR practices.
- Proficiency with payroll systems (such as Empeon, ADP, Paycom, or Kronos) and HRIS platforms.
- Exceptional analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to travel daily between facilities throughout Massachusetts.
