Part-Time Cook

Regalcare at Blackstone Valley is seeking a reliable and compassionate Part-Time Cook to join our team. The Part-Time Cook will help prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for our residents while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and snacks according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.

• Follow modified diets and special dietary needs as directed.

• Ensure food is prepared, cooked, stored, and served at appropriate temperatures.

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and food preparation areas.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.

• Assist with meal service and ensure meals are presented attractively and served on schedule.

• Properly label, date, and store food items.

• Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory needs to the Dietary Manager.

• Work cooperatively with dietary and nursing staff to meet residents' needs.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred; healthcare, nursing home, hospital, or institutional food-service experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special dietary instructions.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

• Must demonstrate respect, patience, and a resident-centered approach.

Schedule

Part-time schedule and hours to be discussed during the interview.
Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
