Press Brake Operator

Regal Staffing Services is recruiting a Press Brake Setup/Operator to set up and operate press brake machines, select tooling, and accurately bend sheet metal according to blueprints and technical specifications. Candidates should have strong mechanical skills, blueprint-reading experience, and knowledge of machine setup, quality inspections, troubleshooting, and workplace safety. This role supports high-quality metal fabrication while meeting production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up press brake machines by selecting appropriate tooling, adjusting machine parameters, and ensuring proper calibration for each job.
• Operate press brake equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and production schedules.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine bending angles, dimensions, and tooling requirements.
• Perform precision measurements using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part accuracy.
• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of press brake machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members on tooling changes, machine adjustments, and quality control processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards and manufacturing best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of press brake setup and operating experience; automation experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, tooling selection, CNC press brakes, and machine changeovers.
• Ability to read technical drawings, interpret tolerances, and perform basic shop math.
• Experience with precision measuring tools and quality inspection procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, respirators, and safety footwear.
• Computer literate – (MS Office) (ERP Systems – SAP)
• Knowledge of safety standards related to machine operation and manufacturing environments.
• Basic math skills including shop math necessary for precise measurements and calculations.
