This position is responsible for managing the engineering department and the technical process support of our bearings operations, working in a lean manufacturing environment. The manufacturing engineer manager collaborates cross-functionally to maintain and improve our manufacturing/machining processes and manages various projects working directly with site and functional leadership.
The engineering manager will coach, mentor, and develop site/functional team members through training, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement activities to effectively utilize performance excellence tools, methodologies, and philosophies to drive performance excellence. Additionally, the position will work with the Procurement/Supply Chain department to determine the best cost solutions for Regal Rexnord.

Main Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor Manufacturing Engineering and Development teams.
- Implement process improvement and new technology to improve mfg. cost and reduce scrap.
- Develop and maintain metrics for Manufacturing engineering, development, and programming dept.
- Oversee key projects that support the manufacturing processes and processes for new products.
- Identify, development, and implement new capital for the business that support annual business priorities.
- Work with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering on troubleshooting problems and developing error proof solutions.
- Provide guidance and support during design reviews to address product manufacturing issues: process routings, machining capabilities, etc.
- Address DMR's, routing issues, and design changes that could affect manufacturing processes or machines.
- Manager of Manufacturing Engineering is fully responsible for ensuring process competency and audit acceptance of the following AS9100 Quality Clauses:
- 7.5.1.2 (Control of Production Process Changes)
- 7.5.1.3 (Control of Production Equipment, Tools and Software Programs)
- 7.5.1 (Footnote - Planning Shall Consider, as Appropriate)
- 7 (Product Realization)
- 7.1.2 (Risk Management)

Required Education / Experience / Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field, Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial or Materials. Advanced degree a plus.
- Experience: 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3 years of experience of team leadership/supervisor experience.
- This position is subject to policies and procedures set forth by the State Department and applicants who do not meet such requirements will not be eligible for the position.
