ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Follow the company policies and procedures for picking, packing and shipping domestic and international shipments.
- Ensure all shipment counts and items are accurate, and are packaged to arrive at the end user in a safe usable condition.
- Claim accountability for high levels of customer service.
- Scheduling of pickups for Freight through phone and online portals
- Prepare shipping documents, which may include bills of lading, international commercial invoices, NAFTA, and SED documents.
- Accurately record inventory movements, and storage locations for finished goods.
- Report inventory shortages and overages to supervisor and complete inventory counts as required.
- Provide back up for all shipping areas, receiving, manufacturing/production if needed and warehouse/storage areas.
- Adheres to all safety rules and report questionable conditions to department supervisor.
- Apply, recommend, and follow Lean practices.
- Ability to effectively communication with workforce.
- Knowledge with Microsoft Word/Excel.
- Ability to effectively manage time.
- Ability to accurately complete arithmetic computations.
- Ability to operate tools and equipment listed - forklift, pallet jack, calculator, copier.
- High school graduate or a GED equivalent from an accredited institution, preferred
- Preferred 1-year experience in related field or manufacturing
- Experience in shipping and materials control procedures, preferred.
