Job Summary

In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting designer furniture, lighting and art pieces to various locations while providing exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will ensure timely deliveries, accurate route navigation, and positive client interactions. Please understand that this is an on the road position, and the driver can be gone up to 7 days at one time.

Duties

• Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
• Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS and route maps to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper lifting techniques, ensuring safe handling of heavy or bulky items.
• Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, addressing questions or concerns professionally to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for each trip.
• Follow all safety protocols related to automobile transportation, heavy lifting practices, and safe driving habits to ensure personal and team safety.
• Warehousing duties such as receiving, inspecting, staging and storing merchandise.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving or retail store delivery roles with a strong understanding of route driving.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations governing commercial vehicle operation and driver safety standards.
• Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, delivery sequences, and documentation efficiently.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices; physically capable of handling demanding loads.
• Customer relationship building skills to foster trust and repeat business through friendly service.
