Position Summary
The Landscape Designer is responsible for site planning, preparing landscape design concepts, irrigation plans, construction documents, and specifications for a variety of project types. This role works collaboratively alongside our civil engineering team on site plans and contributes directly to projects that shape communities across the Midwest.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop site plans, landscape design concepts, and visual presentations
- Prepare construction documents (site layout, etc.), planting plans, and specifications
- Design and develop irrigation plans and systems
- Perform site analysis, research zoning and regulatory requirements
- Prepare renderings, exhibits, and client presentation materials
- Coordinate with civil engineers, surveyors, and other design professionals
- Support permitting and submittal processes
- Participate in site visits and construction observation activities
- Assist with cost estimates and material selections
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture
- 2 years of professional experience is preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD and Land FX
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Strong communication skills
