Job : Network Engineer Consultant
Location: Columbia, SC, USA
Responsibilities:
Design and deploy highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure and applications with a focus on AWS and Azure Cloud
Develop automation tools to build cloud security accelerators and intellectual property (IP)
Collaborate with Security Operations teams to build and maintain SIEM, SOAR, and XDR technologies
Analyze and resolve configuration issues across development, test, and production environments
Ensure compliance with major security frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, PII, SOX, PCI, CMMC, CUI, etc.) through effective monitoring, logging, and auditing
Implement Zero Trust secure infrastructure in cloud environments
Work with state and local government clients, ensuring alignment with their security requirements
Travel to customer sites as needed for engagements
Required Skills (Ranked by Importance)
5 10 years of Information Security and Engineering experience
Strong experience in designing and maintaining infrastructure in AWS and Azure
Proven Cloud Security design, operations, and automation expertise
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to produce documentation for security tools, deployment configurations, and incident reports
Preferred Skills (Ranked by Importance)
Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Cloud VM-Series Palo Alto Firewalls in AWS and Azure
Prisma Cloud experience
Forescout and Cisco Umbrella expertise
Knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls and F5 Load Balancers/Firewalls
Required Education / Certifications
Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience
Must hold an AWS or Azure Certification
Preferred Certifications
CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional
SC-100 Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect
AWS Certified Cloud Solutions Architect
Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE)
PCNSA / PCNSE Palo Alto Networks Certifications
