Security Officer – Full-Time OpportunityOverview
Join our dynamic security team as a Security Officer and become the frontline protector of our facilities, assets, and personnel. This role offers an opportunity to ensure safety through vigilant surveillance, proactive conflict management, and emergency response. As a Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment by enforcing site policies, conducting patrols, and responding professionally to incidents.
Duties
- Monitor the property through CCTV systems and perform routine patrols to identify potential security concerns.
- Control access by verifying employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors before granting entry.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, taking appropriate action and contacting emergency services when necessary.
- Conduct property inspections to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence while confidently enforcing site policies.
- De-escalate conflicts using sound judgment, professionalism, and effective communication.
- Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and shift logs.
- Provide first aid or CPR when certified and appropriate until emergency responders arrive.
Qualifications
- Previous security experience is required.
- Valid Florida Class D Security License is required.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Must be available to work the entire schedule listed above.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions during emergencies.
- Experience with CCTV systems, access control, and report writing preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
