Duties
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging additional sales through upselling strategies
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and inventory counts to keep the store well-stocked
- Apply phone etiquette when handling customer calls, providing clear information and support
- Support the team with supervising responsibilities when needed, guiding new staff or assisting with training
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is essential
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued to serve diverse customers effectively
- Demonstrated supervisory experience or leadership skills are a plus for supporting team operations
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and retail math tasks
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, stocking, and customer service best practices
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to create positive customer interactions
