Job Summary:
As a Shipping Lead at Refreshed Tech, you will play a critical role in our mission to refurbish and revitalize electronic devices. You will lead a team of associates, overseeing the shipping process, ensuring the highest quality standards, and contributing to our commitment to sustainability. This role serves as a working lead, providing hands-on support while guiding shipping team members, maintaining shipping schedules, and ensuring compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and customer requirements.
Essential Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of associates, providing guidance, training, and support.
Lead and coordinate daily shipping activities, including picking, packing, labeling, staging, and loading of outbound orders.
Delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
Coordinate and oversee daily outbound shipping operations to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective delivery of products.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to maximize team performance.
Quality Control:
Maintain and enforce strict quality control standards to ensure packaging meets or exceeds industry benchmarks.
Ensure all shipments are accurate, complete, and shipped on schedule.
Conduct regular inspections and quality audits on inventory.
Identify and resolve issues promptly.
Inventory Management:
Conduct monthly audits to monitor and manage inventory levels of refurbished products and spare parts.
Audit shipping records to ensure accuracy. Review shipping documentation BOLs, packing slips, and shipping labels.
Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, shortages, or damages.
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve shipping processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and enhance productivity.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of pick lists, shipping errors, and deadlines for upcoming shipments.
- Assist in generating analysis data including inventory levels, and fulfillment times and rates.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure that all safety and compliance regulations are met, and that workers are following proper safety procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area
Team Collaboration:
- Provide support to team members and manager, as needed.

Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum High school diploma,associate degree or higher preferred.
- Previous lead or supervisory experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
- Working knowledge of shipping methods, carriers, and documentation
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts—certification preferred)
Shipping computer skills and experience with WMS or shipping software
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Work Environment:
- Work is typically performed indoors in an environmentally controlled office environment. There is little to no exposure to extreme environmental conditions and/or job hazards.
